In January 2015, I started a new adventure: to master the content, pedagogy, and professional knowledge and skills of the field of School Library Media. As soon as my first syllabus was read, I was hooked. Inquiry-based learning, collection development, library administration, ethics, technology integration, curriculum, research, psychology, and yes, even cataloging. As one of my last classes, it was cataloging that finally filled that one empty space in my media specialist heart and made me whole!
