ARTIFACT SEVEN. MEDT 6465 Literature Reviews (non-fiction; double; elementary, middle and high school fiction; graphic novel)

ROLES: Program Administrator, Teacher

REFLECTION: Reading children's literature is a life-long pleasure. Writing reviews and creating booktalks equipped me with knowledge, reading promotion abilities, curriculum ideas, and routes to encourage reluctant readers and students with a variety of needs. I will use all of this knowledge in my roles of Program Administrator and Teacher.

ARTIFACT EIGHT. CEPD 6101 Overall Schema for Elementary School Media Center

ROLES: Instructional Partner, Teacher

REFLECTION: Creating an overall schema for an effective elementary school media center (with definitions, strategies, and scenarios) based on child development was a deeply rewarding activity. I broadened my thinking to include innumerable scenarios for unknown circumstances built into every student with a range of unique needs from cultural to learning differences. This professional knowledge will strengthen my roles as Instructional Partner and Teacher.

ARTIFACT NINE. MEDT 7461 Student Instruction Plan

ROLES: Information Specialist, Instructional Partner, Teacher

REFLECTION: Crafting a Student Instruction Plan that includes school demographics with details on the range of developmental levels of the students broadened my knowledge and ability to help all students learn and work with diverse students. The research of the content of the lesson and technology tools further enhanced my information specialist and technology integration skills. This exercise has provided me with content that will enrich my experience as Information Specialist, Instructional Partner, and Teacher. 

ARTIFACT TEN. MEDT 7478 Impact on Learning (Dewey Lesson)

ROLES: Teacher

REFLECTION: Designing a unit specifically crafted to analyze its impact on student learning was an excellent exercise in several important teaching skills: multiple paths to differentiate learning for a variety of students with a variety of needs being one. The professional knowledge I gained will benefit me as a Teacher.

ARTIFACT ELEVEN. MEDT 7477 Digital Storytelling (K-1 "Short Example" and 9-12 Long Example")

ROLES: Instructional Partner, Teacher

REFLECTION: The digital storytelling project was an opportunity to explore numerous apps and websites greatly expanding my toolbox for technology integration. It also had breadth that covered students K-12 and depth to address a variety of learning styles. This knowledge will benefit me as an Instructional Partner and Teacher.

ARTIFACT TWELVE.  MEDT 7477 Equipment Operations

ROLES: Information Specialist, Instructional Partner, Leader

REFLECTION: For my equipment operations assignment, I was delighted to experience and document the logistics of a 1:1 iPad roll-out in an elementary school. This project greatly enriched my professional knowledge as an Information Specialist, Instructional Partner, and Leader.
